Yahoo's numerous challenges in today's market
Another of Yahoo's challenges is what to do about DoubleClick, the graphical Internet ad network and provider of consumer Internet behavior that Yahoo partners with. On Monday, Google acquired DoubleClick for $3.1 billion in cash. For Google, this acquisition gives it a leg up in a market for Internet graphical ads that it's had trouble gaining traction in.

TV affiliates represented a bustling market for weekly reruns. Now some wonder whether the Internet offers networks even more clout when making deals with their affiliates. Doug Wills, a former spokesman for the NAB said "it's simply a question of leverage." Wills is now a marketing executive for RedBack Networks, which offers video-centric routers.
