Competition for trademarked keywords getting fierce again
Danny Sullivan speculates that Yahoo's policy of banning trademarked keywords
wont completely prevent the bidding on them, just competitor's
keywords. This is sparked by Mazda buying the keyword "Pontiac" to
capitilize on Pontiac's "Google Pontiac" TV ad.

Google is again beating Yahoo and MSN in terms of market share
Compete's study doesn't necessarily show which search engine is
better or more relevant but it does show that even the mighty
Google has a user-bleed rate. The study also shows that there

Google: San Francisco will be a place where anyone could go online, anywhere in the city
The San Francisco WiFi project started last summer when Newsom
called for ideas on how to create an inexpensive wireless Internet
network across the entire 49-square-mile city. The idea was to make
San Francisco a place where anyone could go online from anywhere
in the city, whether they were sitting on a park bench with a
laptop or in the comfort of their own home. Esme Vos, founder of
city WiFi tracking service Muniwireless in Amsterdam, said that
more than 186 U.S. cities have announced WiFi proposals, up from
just 122 in July.

Forrester Research. "The key is making a strong link with AOL
Music. Part of the reason MySpace works so well is it has music."

CityXpress will host the Stuff4Sale sites on its eMarketplaceXpress platform
“By offering this feature with our marketplace platform, we are
giving newspapers another way to monetize their online classifieds,
and offer greater value to local businesses by delivering targeted
ads to local readers.” Northcliffe Newspapers Group will implement
the Ad System feature into the Stuff4Sale marketplaces that it began
deploying to 18 of its leading daily newspapers in the United Kingdom
last October. CityXpress hosts the Stuff4Sale sites on its
eMarketplaceXpress platform. “The key to making money with
contextual advertising is content and site traffic, both of which
are in abundance with the Stuff4Sale platform that CityXpress has
created for Northcliffe,” said Terry Millard, president and CEO of
Planet Discover.
