Searching real estate with Google Base
The tests I did returned pages that are already in their standard
search index. I don’t really see a good reason for this, unless
Google is laying down the groundwork for more specialized searching
(after all you can only expect so much relevance when you have a
single user input box). In addition, other search bloggers have also
piped up: Barry Schwartz: “Just another reminder there are many
ways to reach the number one spot in Google, outside of the main
organic results.”

Google launches new keyword research tool for its AdWords PPC program
Google’s keyword research tool is now feature rich, shows seasonal
data, data by match type and the data is even easy to export. As
Google, Yahoo and MSN jocky for position you can bet that their
keyword research tools are only going to get better, although I
don’t think Yahoo’s 'dated' KYR tool has changed over the past ten
years.

PodZinger finds relevant audio and video podcasts

term occurred. By clicking anywhere on the results, the audio will
begin to play just where you clicked.

Yahoo offers Canadians a way to experience Yahoo Mail
This beta gives Canadians a faster and more dynamic way to
experience Yahoo Mail and Rogers Yahoo Mail, yet continues to offer
the same features they rely upon today: great anti-spam and virus
protection, tons of storage, it's all there," said Naomi Lipowski,
Senior Product Manager, Yahoo Mail. "We're looking forward to
receiving feedback on the beta as we continue the development
process."

Now you can check your stocks or mutual funds on Google Finance
Google Finance also incorporates blog postings, as well as
discussion forums that have improved algorithms and ratings,
and moderators to oversee the relevancy of the message board
postings. The free service was the brainchild of several Google
engineers in India who were looking for ways to improve financial
information search, said Katie Stanton, a senior Google product
manager.

Google bans the KinderStart website and removes its PageRank
The argument KinderStart makes is based on antitrust principles
that Google has grown so big and powerful that it must abide by
fairness standards not normally required of business. These new
standards might include publishing specific rules for websites to
follow in order not to be blacklisted or have PageRank removed.
Google could also be required to notify websites with reasons for
blacklisting. They may also have to offer specific ways to remedy
blacklisting. Interestingly, the KinderStart.com website features
Google Adwords.
