The Google Operating System is here to stay!
There's now a new computer operating system that is taking over, and it’s not coming from
inside your personal computer, and it’s not from your company’s LAN (Local Area Network) or
intranet network either. What I’m referring to here is the Google Operating System. If you
feel that for the past couple of years Google has managed to transform many people’s lives,
you are not alone. We are witnessing a trend that will probably increase and will become
even more widespread in the coming years. Thanks to many of its PHD’s and engineers, and using
its research labs and its vast resources, Google is building a gigantic information system,
complete with its own computer operating system that anybody can use, 24 hours a day.

Internet advertising to overtake radio advertising for the first time
Even as Internet advertising spending growth slows, US online ad spending will continue
to increase, from $15.9 billion in 2006 to more than $21 billion in 2008, well surpassing
$25 billion by the end of this decade. That growth puts Internet ad spending on course to
overtake radio for the first time in 2008 as a percentage of total ad spend.

Paid search advertising continues to be most popular online ad format
Paid search advertising, accounting for 40 percent of online ad revenues, continued
to be the most popular online ad format, followed by display and classified advertising.
"As a whole, interactive advertising delivers an arsenal of options for Internet marketers
no matter what their marketing or business objectives are," said Greg Stuart, CEO of the IAB.

Microsoft's advertising business is growing quickly
"Microsoft's advertising business is growing quickly and becoming more sophisticated,"

Google loses in court
Google News lists headlines and a few sentences of text from news articles around the world
and links back to a publication's own Web site for users to read the whole item. Any
publisher can opt out by asking Google to remove its content, but publishers argue that by
reproducing the material in the first place, Google is violating copyright laws.
